Icarius was the son of Dedale. In the mythologic legend he made himself wings sticked with wax, but he came too near from the sun and the wax melted. But Icarius succeeded in flying. The symbol is the success to surpass himself and realise the dream of every man.

Brief History: This sculpture is the first monumental one that I have made, and remains as my favorite work. I spent 2 years creating it from a block of marble of 5 tonnes. Finished it weighs 3,300 kilos.
